Who this beta is for

People who care about keeping their journal private, want a native Mac app, and are willing to share thoughtful early feedback.

What we want to learn

How Harbour fits into daily writing habits, where local AI feels genuinely helpful, and what parts of the experience still need tightening.

Before you apply

Local AI features work best on Apple Silicon Macs. The recommended hardware for this beta is listed in the system requirements section on this page.

What to expect from the beta

This beta may have rough edges, including UI glitches, local AI failure modes, and other issues that only show up in real-world use. Part of the purpose of this beta is learning how Harbour behaves across real Macs and real journaling habits, so some issues and errors are expected. We’ll use that feedback to fix problems quickly and keep improving the app.

Anonymized usage data is part of the beta

This beta requires anonymized usage data so we can understand what is working and where the rough edges are. That data never includes personal information like journal content, chat history, or reflections. It is limited to things like how often a feature is used, thumbs up or thumbs down feedback on AI responses, and basic machine details such as processor type and memory.

These specs apply to Harbour’s local AI features so you can quickly check whether your Mac is a good fit for the beta.
